How the cost is worked out
What it covers
The withdrawal fee your sending exchange charges, taken out of the amount you move. Deposits on the receiving side are usually free. Enter the amount and you get what arrives and what share of the transfer the fee took.
Why the fee is a quantity, not a percentage
Withdrawal fees are set in units of the coin — 0.0005 BTC, 0.25 XRP — not as a percentage of what you send. So the same fee is trivial on a large transfer and painful on a small one, and moving the same value through different coins can cost several times more or less.
Where the fee figures come from
Typical values per coin are filled in for you. Real fees vary by exchange and by network — USDT on TRC20 and on ERC20 are not the same — so the field is editable. The number on your exchange's withdrawal screen is the one that counts.
